Just over 10 years ago, the RPISEC hacking club started at RPI. Throughout the years, students were trained by the club and went on to become successful entrepreneurs, experts in military and intelligence agencies, and cybersecurity researchers for Microsoft, Google, and Apple. They also traveled the country and globe winning hacking competitions. These alumni have now started an endowment for RPISEC and are now funding equipment, training, and travel.
In this seminar, we demonstrate hacking techniques taught by the club and talk about how to get involved. The following day, the speaker and alumnus of the club will be teaching an 8-hour training on campus to get anyone started in the field.
