Tables encapsulate rich information in a compact format, making them invaluable for data analysis and decision-making. However, it can be challenging to build a unified method that can effectively leverage the information they contain. This work investigates the necessary ingredients to enable scalable retrieval and understanding of structured data, explored from four perspectives.
